Contemplative Psychotherapy

Discover your heart of wisdom

Find Deep Healing

Therapy is a place where I welcome you to arrive, to receive support to be yourself as you are; heart open or heart-broken, angry, sad, or confused.  There are many reasons to seek out support for your healing process.  It may look like depression, anxiety, a difficult life transition, loss, work or relationship troubles, inner conflict, or a lack of meaning or direction, it may also be something else entirely. Please see my specialty areas below. Together, we can delve into your heart's wisdom and help you begin to live more of a life of peace, joy, excitement, and personal expression.

My Approach:

I take a positive, non-pathologizing, strength and values-based approach to psychotherapy that understands that you are fundamentally whole and have wisdom inside you. I provide a supportive, friendly, confidential and emotionally-safe environment for you to begin to experience that realization and healing directly. As a foundation, I help my clients learn and practice mindfulness as a way of noticing their experience, learning to inquire into themselves deeply, and be nourished by their own beauty and life.

We will explore your values and goals and at your own pace, take steps to help you live your life in line with your values and move toward your cherished life-direction. I often use creative and expressive modalities, forms of meditation congruent with your inclinations and interests, Gestalt-style exercises, Voice Dialogue, Continuum movement, positive psychology, as well as a form of inquiry called The Work of Byron Katie, amongst other types of exercises.  My clients have total permission and encouragement to do what supports their health and happiness. I respond whole-heartedly to where you are in the moment. I welcome all of your feedback during our work together. Therapy is a dynamic, responsive, and alive process that we co-create together.  I look forward to meeting you.
